Half or Whole Pig – Fill Your Freezer with Pasture Raised Pork

from $75.00

Bring home the full flavor of thoughtfully raised pork. When you purchase a half or whole pig from Gooseflower Farm, you're getting more than just meat—you're getting nourishment you can trust, from animals raised with care, sunshine, and freedom to roam.

What You’re Buying:
Our pigs are raised outdoors on pasture, where they root, dig, play, and enjoy a holistic, diverse diet. We never use antibiotics or growth hormones, and we supplement their feed with organic apples, squash, eggs, and—when available—whey from a neighboring biodynamic dairy farm.

Pricing:

  • $3.80/lb hanging weight – includes slaughter and full processing by a USDA-inspected butcher
This price includes vacuum-sealed packaging and your choice of standard or custom cuts.

  • The butcher charges additionally $1.50/ lbs for sausage and $2.00/ lbs for any smoked items like bacon and ham.

Weight & Yield:

Our pigs typically have a hanging weight of 150–220 lbs, depending on the animal.

The take-home yield of a whole pig will probably be around 100 - 150 lbs of packaged meat.

The take-home yield of half a cow will probably be around 50 - 75 lbs of packaged meat.

Note: Yield depends on bone-in vs. boneless preferences, skin-on options, and sausage or cured product choices.

Freezer Space:

  • Half pig: 3–4 cubic feet

  • Whole pig: 6–8 cubic feet
An upright or chest freezer is recommended for storage.

Processing & Pickup:

We butcher pigs on a scheduled basis, and will coordinate with you once your pig is reserved and scheduled with our butcher. Pickup is available at the farm or directly from the butcher, depending on your preference.

Our next batch of bacon seeds are arriving at our farm in late June. We anticipate a butchering date in December 2025 or January 2026.

You’ll be able to select your favorite cuts—or go with a standard cut sheet that includes a mix of pork chops, bacon, roasts, ribs, hams, ground pork, and sausage. We’re happy to help you navigate the options!

Ready to Pre-Order?

A down payment holds your half or whole pig. The final balance will be based on hanging weight after processing and due before pickup.

Whether you’re filling your freezer or sharing with friends, this is one of the most economical (and delicious) ways to bring pasture-raised pork to your table.
